Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee School

Project: Refurbishment of SEN Facilities

Value: £300k

Duration: 6 months

Description: We undertook a feasibility study with options appraisal and budget costings, exploring different refurbishment and remodelling options for the school library hub, various Doc M toilet and washroom facilities complete with full coverage hoists, whilst also providing proposals for provision of new rebound therapy and immersive rooms. After the feasibility stage, we prepared detailed designs and liaised with various specialists prior to commencing the tendering process, providing contract administration services, and ultimately overseeing the works on-site through to successful completion.

Queen Elizabeth II Silver Jubilee School is a special needs school for pupils with severe learning difficulties and a wide range of complex needs. Due to ever increasing numbers of pupils we were lacking space to put different provision which would support our learners to reach their potentials.

Philips Surveyors were excellent at utilising the space we did have, putting our vision onto paper and liaising with us about our exact requirements. Will was always available to answer queries and worked closely with the builders so that any potential problems were solved quickly. Our pupils are now benefitting from an amazing immersive space, a rebound room, specially adapted pool changing rooms and an inclusive toilet block. The project ran smoothly and was completed on time bringing to fruition everything that we wanted and more.
